Because Lortab can cause drowsiness, other medicines that also cause drowsiness may increase this effect of Lortab. Some other medicines that cause drowsiness are:

  • alcohol - containing medicines
  • barbiturates such as Phenobarbital
  • certain antidepressants or tranquilizers
  • muscle relaxants
  • certain antihistamines used in cold medicines
